Can't recommend highly enough for a short visit

Friendly staff, fantastic location, with a clean room that had everything we needed, including a brilliant bathroom night light and a comfortable bed with firm, soft pillows, which made our stay enjoyable, especially after arriving from the airport just 20 km away.

I spent a wonderful weekend here, enjoying the easy stroll to St Patrick's Cathedral which was just a few steps away, and found Albert Park's beautiful scenery to be less than a 5-minute walk, making it a perfect spot to relax after exploring the city.

A fine choice for getting around Auckland with a good price-quality ratio. The room had a nice view of the city which was a pleasant surprise. Try to check in early to avoid long lines.

I loved my stay, especially enjoying the terrific breakfast and their cozy bar for some evening relaxation. The hotel provides a great spot to unwind at the cafe and also has a lovely pool area to soak up the sun. Just be aware the Wi-Fi was a bit slow at times, but everything else was fantastic! 😊

Friendly staff & comfy stay!

We had a nice stay! The room was super comfy and checking in early was a big win. The breakfast was fab too! Just a heads up, asking for extra things like towels was a bit of a hassle, and I ended up with bath mats instead. Overall, a solid pick for a family trip.

Superb location and modern amenities

I had a fantastic stay in the heart of the city, where the modern amenities and welcoming ambiance stood out. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great Wi-Fi, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. I especially enjoyed the Express Start breakfast buffet with its variety of options. However, the parking fees were quite high, which can be a downside for those driving into the city.

Ideal for casual travelers looking for a good experience

The room was ultra comfortable for an overnight stay, and I really appreciated the extra security measures, like the metal door stopper. , It made me feel safe, which is no small thing. I also loved the buffett breakfast, so many options and the staff were quick to refill the food, they really moved, wow!

It wasn't the cheapest stay, but still pretty reasonable given the nice place it was.

our stay at holiday inn express auckland city centre was fantastic! marsha, at the reception, was so welcoming and allowed us to check in early, which was a lifesaver after our long trip. the comfort of the bed was amazing, and the showergel made our experience even better. the location is ideal—close to shops and the harbor, making it easy to explore. the breakfast lounge with huge windows created a lovely atmosphere to chill or work.

Housekeeping coming in at 4:30 PM definitely needs a rethink!!! The lack of sufficiently hot shower water is a major letdown!!! It would be great if they could improve these aspects!!!
